This Foster Care Fortnight celebrates Fostering communities.  ROOM4U Fostering want to celebrate our fostering community and bring foster carers and looked after children and young people together.  We have been hosting foster carer breakfast and lunch get-togethers, and recently had our Easter foster carer family day out at Five Sisters Zoo.  This was a great opportunity for fosters carers to connect and for the young people to make new friendships.  It was a wonderful day.

We are always listening to our fostering community, and they told us they want to have more connection and support days.  We are planning on more foster carer family days in the summer and winter, as well as support breakfast/lunch meet-ups for our carers.  Our foster carers make a difference to young people’s lives, and we want to support and celebrate this all year round.
