Head Office & Fostering

Dean and Cauvin Trust Staff and Board Member

I have been the Chief Executive of Dean and Cauvin Trust since November 2014. Prior to this I was the Assistant Director. I love working with children and young people and am passionate about young people's rights and ensuring that they are given every opportunity to reach their full potential. I have also served as a Children's Panel member for a number of years and held the position of Treasurer on the Scottish Through-care and Aftercare Forum.

I have three grown up daughters and five grandchildren who give me much joy. I also enjoy the theatre, swimming and eating out.

Deputy CEO

I joined Dean and Cauvin in August 2015 as Aftercare Manager, before moving on to being Deputy CEO in January 2016. I enjoy the variety of work in the Trust, from talking to young people about how the service makes a difference to them, to writing funding applications or liaising with our key stakeholders. The staff team are great and it is a real privilege to hear about how the work they are doing has an impact.

I have worked with young people across a range of services, from substance misuse and housing to education and parenting, having studied Community and Youth Work Studies at university. I am originally from England and am enjoying life here in Edinburgh; it is a great city to live in, with lots going on.

Admin Team Leader

I joined the Trust in 2013 as a temporary admin assistant and enjoyed both the job and the people so much that I decided to stay permanently!
Although I don’t work directly with our young people I do get involved occasionally, particularly during group events (such as Christmas parties) where I act as “official” photographer.
I have one adult daughter, two step-daughters and a stepson. I have eight beautiful grandchildren, aged from 1 to 17 years.
My hobbies include paper-crafting, machine knitting, photography, travel and karaoke.

Administrative Assistant

I work as an Administrative Assistant at Dean and Cauvin Trust since July 2015.

I love being active (gym, swimming, body balance, riding on bike, cardio on trampolines) , which is not simple, when you have two small children. I just come back to being flamenco dancer after over 9 years' break. In my free time I love to read books, a lot of books…

Fostering Service Administrative Assistant

Hi. My name is Debra. I have been working as Fostering Administrator at Dean and Cauvin since March 2017. I have enjoyed the challenge of helping set up ROOM4U Fostering and it was a proud moment when we approved our first foster carers. I have worked in fostering and adoption for 12 years and relish the challenges.

I am from Musselburgh in East Lothian but now live in Bonnyrigg with my husband, David, and English Bulldog, Snorri. Snorri keeps me busy and amused with his daily antics. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, clubbercise and spending time with my husband and dog.

Finance Manager

I joined Dean & Cauvin in 2017 as the Trust's first ever in-house Finance Manager. I currently manage our fantastic Administration team and together we support the amazing work the Trust does.

I have worked predominantly in the charity sector for the last 11 years nationally and internationally, at both management and Board level; and have qualified with ACCA.

When not at work, I am often found on a bicycle or running around Arthur's Seat.
