Carolyn

Fostering and Aftercare Service Manager

Hi all, my name is Carolyn and I am currently the Fostering and Transition Team Service Manager.

I have worked for the Trust for 25 years and have worked in most capacities across the Trust during my time in service. I enjoy my work very much and paricularly enjoy building trusting working relationships with young people and their families. I get excited about new developments which have been developed in response to young peoples feedback. I believe we can learn so much from working with young people/parents and this enables me to shape my practice while working with young people/parents.

I enjoy spending time with my family, and my hobbies are cooking, reading and watching movies. Looking forward to working with you.

Lisa

Connecting Care Leavers Worker

Hello hello. I’m delighted to join the Dean and Cauvin family! I’m lucky to have the opportunity to support our young people on a, 1:1 basis led by their interests, within group settings ensuring that our young people's voice is at the centre in all that we do. Co-designing the support we offer, designing volunteering opportunities within the trust shaped by and for our young people. My role will be driven by young people, I see you as my boss. We also have a role to play in helping the Promise with Scotland’s ambition where children and young people “grow up loved, safe, and respected so we reach our full potential”.

“I adopt a ‘how can I help’ approach, passionate about people receiving the support they need. At a time they need it, at a place and pace that works for them”

Lova

Parenting Worker

My name is Lova, I am a Parenting Worker in the Aftercare Team at Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust. I work with young parents to ensure that they have opportunities to build strong relationships with their children and be confident in their parenting skills. Together with Shona, our Health Improvement Worker, I will be running groups for young parents and babies, such as baby massage sessions and Baby First Aid. I love building relationships with young people and have had great experiences working with homeless youth in the past. In my free time I love to cook, read books, do yoga and go to the gym.
