Hi my name is Shian and I started with Dean and Cauvin Trust in December 2016, having worked as a Bank worker at Portland street ( and Cauvin House ) for a number of years . I now feel very much part of the furniture at Portland street as a full time member of staff. I really like being part of a strong dedicated staff team that strives every day to meet the changing needs of the young people in our care.

Helping young people with different aspects of their lives including emotional support, making applications for courses or jobs and making the transition towards independent living on the 3 stage placement, is both challenging and satisfying . In my own time I like to walk my dog , go out for meals with friends or family or curl up on the sofa with a good book and some chocolate.
