Supporting Young People in the community

A Nurturing Environment

Our Community and Transition team provides a range of supports to care-experienced and vulnerable young people in Edinburgh – from those living with us in our houses to those making the transition into a first tenancy to those already living in the community, often with children of their own.

Based at our Community Wellbeing Hub in St. John’s Road in West Edinburgh, we work with young people, children, families and professionals to address the four key areas of a young person’s life:

  • Education, Employment and Training

  • Personal, family and social wellbeing

  • Independent living skills

  • Welfare, Income and money.

Focused Support

All support is specific to the needs of each young person and/or child/family.

Work is underpinned by a tailored care plan and our team work flexibly across evenings and weekends to ensure support is delivered at the times it is needed.

We do this by providing such help as:

  • 1:1 and whole-family support

  • Throughcare and Aftercare Pathways Plan Coordination

  • Tenancy and homelessness advice

  • Employability and skills

  • Groupwork

  • Peer Mentor support

  • Lived-experience participation and engagement opportunities.

If you know of or are supporting someone who you feel could benefit from the service provided please contact us.

Thanks for taking us along, we had a blast and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. If anything like that comes up again we would both love to come along.
