Residential Worker - Bank Staff
Residential Care Worker (Bank Staff) based at our 5-bed residential house for 5 young people aged between 15-21 yrs and at our 3-bed residential house that provides accommodation to young parents and their children.
We are seeking highly motivated confident and enthusiastic individuals who can think creatively, support young people, work positively and flexibly as part of a busy staff team and also be confident in lone working. As well as able to articulate and demonstrate understanding of the core values of social care and their application in practice with young people.
An applicant must be able to provide practical and emotional support to young people/parents in a wide range of daily activities and experiences; to work with young people to encourage and enable them to develop confidence and competence in managing their own lives.
The post holder will actively promote equality, diversity, anti-discriminatory and non-judgemental practice. They will have a clear understanding of the nature and limits of the work role and and act at all times to safeguard and protect young people from harm and abuse.
The post holder must be eligible and prepared to register with the Scottish Social Services Council. The minimum educational requirements for this post is HNC/SVQ7 in Social Care or currently working towards this.
