A Packed Christmas Diary

We’re always busy at Dean and Cauvin and even busier during the festive season! Along with the well-deserved staff celebrations we have, of course, some special events planned for our young people.

Some of our young people are looking forward to decorating the two beautiful Christmas trees we have at Head Office. Both trees were very kindly donated by our neighbours here on St John’s Road, Corstorphine Christmas Trees. Our thanks to Barry for his generosity! We will publish photos of the decorated trees on our website and social media shortly.

On Saturday, 15th December we’re expecting a visit from a very special person – Santa will be coming along to our annual children’s party! Children of our young people and staff will be enjoying fun and games, lots of goodies to eat and that all important chat with Santa. The party will take place at 68 St John’s Road, from 2:00 – 3:30pm.

The young people’s Working Group will have a Christmas night out on Wednesday, December 19th.

Our young people are invited to a Christmas Eve drop-in  “Snowballs and Santa Claus” at St John’s Road, where they can enjoy some festive fayre and good company. The drop in runs from 12:00 – 2:00pm. We hope to see as many young people there as possible!

On Boxing Day all are welcome to meet at St John’s Road for a family day at the zoo.

Bowling at Fountain Park – all welcome – on Thursday, 27th December.

Friday, December 28th – all welcome to join us for cinema and pizza.

Hogmanay – all welcome to join us to burn off some of those Christmas calories at Gravity.

For details about timings for the above outings please call Fiona on 07833 470787.

In addition to the events at St John’s Road, our residential units will also be holding their own celebrations. There will be decorations, Christmas dinners and presents under the tree.

Please read about our Christmas appeal and how you can help make a difference to a young person at this special time of year.
