Coronavirus

25.04.2022: With the lifting of all legal restrictions, the Trust is almost back to pre-pandemic ways of operating. The homes will still require mask wearing where appropriate and we continue to push good hygiene practice by residents, staff and visitors.

17.03.2022:  Following on from government guidelines, all remaining restrictions will be lifted from 21st March 2022 with the exception of mask wearing in public places and transport. Staff at the Trust will continue to test twice weekly and wear masks when moving around communal spaces and will ask visitors to do the same.

13.12.2021: Unfortunately, we have made the decision to restrict access to our office for the time-being, following government guidlines and to protect our young people and staff. Our residential homes will also be restricting meetings to online only. While we have had to cancel some of our planned Christmas events, we are looking to support our young people in other ways and will be in touch with them individually. We hope these measures, whilst necessary, will be temporary and we will keep under constant review.

16.11.2021: It has been great to have in-person meetings with our young people and others that we work with. Please note anyone visiting the office or residential units will be required to book their visit in advance and do a lateral flow test before they arrive. We continue to observe safety measures as guided by government and the Care Inspectorate.

03.08.2021: The Trust continues to operate in a safe environment to ensure staff and young people are protected whilst on our premises. We continue to observe safety measures as guided by government and the Care Inspectorate.

13.05.2021: In line with government guidelines and Covid-specific safety measures in place, our Head Office has now re-opened. Please note any visitors to the office will be required to complete a Covid checklist and check-in with Test and Protect. Face coverings will be required whilst moving around the office. We are very happy to be able to open our office again and look forward to being able to meet you in person!

23.11.2020: Our residential units have continued to operate during the pandemic, looking after our residents. Our staff team at Head Office continue to work from home. This includes our Aftercare and Fostering services who continue to support our young people. We continue to monitor and act on advice from both the UK and Scottish Governments as well as advice from the Care Inspectorate and SSSC. Whilst we have adapted to new ways of working, care and support for our young people is still our priority. Thank you to everyone who has supported our work during this extremely difficult time,  it has been phenomenal.

15.04.2020: In response to the Scottish Government advice on coronavirus we have shut our Head Office at 68 St John’s Road. All office based staff are working from home to avoid non-essential contact. Staff are still contactable via phone or email.  We are still providing an aftercare service – if you have not been allocated to an individual member of staff please email aftercare@deanandcauvin.org.uk . If you wish to speak to someone in person please call the office number on 0131 3373295. If your call is not answered immediately please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We appreciate this is a stressful time for many people we support. We want to assure you that we will continue to support children and young people during this difficult time. If you need any support please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do what we can to help you.
